Last week, Grainger’s Analytics Community of Practice hosted a two-day Analytics Fair at our Lake Forest Headquarters, with a virtual component for non-local team members. The event brought together hundreds of team members from across the business who share a passion for data, analytics and learning from one another. Over an energizing two days, participants had the opportunity to connect with leaders, engage in 29 workshop sessions, visit 23 booths, and collaborate across role levels and business functions. Topics ranged from operations to AI to automating workflows to process optimization and more! What began with analytics teams sharing their work and finding new ways to help one another grew into a cross-functional network connecting analytics practitioners across Grainger. The Analytics Fair brings this community to life, creating a forum for team members to showcase impactful work, exchange best practices, develop new skills and build relationships across the business. A big thank you to all presenters, session and booth leads, advisory board members, pillar leads participants and the six amazing volunteers who helped make this fair possible. More than 500 Grainger team members, government officials and community partners came together last week for our fifth annual Bucket Build event at our Lake Forest headquarters. The event, focused on helping communities prepare for what comes next, resulted in more than 4,000 disaster relief kits built by #TeamGrainger that will support individuals and families impacted by natural disasters across North America. Each bucket represents more than supplies. It represents people helping people, partnerships that create lasting impact, and a shared commitment to strengthening communities before they're needed most.
