For a long time, being a developer meant writing code. But in the era of AI, the developer is evolving from a creator of lines to a manager of agents. This was evident at Salesforce’s TDX conference in San Francisco last week, where developers, admins, and architects came together at the forefront of the largest technological shift in decades. Sally ElGhoul, M.C.S., a Salesforce Lead Developer and Architect at Yalla Cloud Inc. explained that the role of the developer still exists, but the time spent on manual coding is shifting toward design, validation, and governance. With tools like Agentforce Vibes, AI now writes up to 25% of all code for its users, allowing builders to focus on big-picture strategy and security. “We had a very intense project delivery requirement. The timeline was tight, so I used vibe coding to accelerate the process of development. After the generation, I reviewed the code, made sure everything looked secure," ElGhoul said. Instead of seeing fewer developers, the industry is witnessing the rise of the developer as an architectural orchestrator. As Joseph K., VP, Salesforce Platform Architecture at Astound Digital put it: “I don't necessarily believe it's a reduction of jobs; it's an evolution of your job. It's doing more at a higher level."

Happy Earth Day! 🌎 We celebrated across North America with a massive green initiative. Volunteers from seven cities, spanning from Toronto to San Francisco got busy planting 300+ mini food forests for local students. To top it off, we’re gifting 3,000 trees to kids to help grow a greener future! A huge thank you to our Equality Group Earthforce and nonprofit Neighborhood Forest for partnering with us on this incredible event.

True Earth Day impact requires massive scale. But replacing your experts with AI isn't the answer. 🌍 Rare proves that an agentic nonprofit uses AI to elevate humans, not replace them. They're using Agentforce to scale regenerative farming practices via WhatsApp to over 100,000 farmers in the next two years. Augmenting that support drives incredible operational efficiency: 🌿 97% autonomous AI resolution rate 🌿 100% pilot adoption from users By automating everyday guidance, Agent Tierra is projected to free up 40% more time for field teams so they can focus on high-impact, in-person work. Being an agentic nonprofit isn't about the tools, but about giving your team the time to solve the planet's hardest problems
