Hiring a Growth and GTM person as an early-stage founder? Give them this checklist and ask them to execute on this within 6 months. • Define the problem—no fluff, just brutal honesty. • Understand customer pain points in their language. • Craft a specific, measurable value proposition. • Compile case studies, even scrappy ones. • Define ICP by problem, company, industry, size, revenue, tech stack, job title, budget. • Use Sales Navigator & Apollo to map TAM. • Calculate total potential accounts & contacts. • Export, verify, segment, and add prospects to CRM. • Set up CRM with automations, integrations & workflows. • List key buying signals for outbound strategy. • Identify 20 industry influencers for shortcuts to market. • Research 10 competitors with audience & distribution. • Identify 10 complementary products & companies for partnerships. • Track engagement with influencers, competitors & thought leaders. • Monitor ICPs & customers for job changes & updates. • Implement website tracking for visitor behavior. • Source leads creatively (social, Google Maps, YC, job boards, VC portfolios). • Establish a system to qualify, score, and route leads. • Develop materials to convert responses into meetings. • Build a follow-up system for ghosted & delayed prospects. • Test & refine messaging—analyze top-performing campaigns. • Build founder-led LinkedIn & Twitter presence (can't fully outsource). • Implement ads (Meta, Google, newsletters) only after testing. • Develop video & newsletter strategy—consistency beats perfection. • Test offers & referral programs—make customers sell for you. • Update website copy as customer insights evolve. • Address no-shows & poor-fit prospects. • Optimize for retention, LTV, and scaling. ...Congrats! Now measure what's working well and repeat! You can also use joinvalley.co if your ICP is active on LinkedIn.

80% of leads never convert to customers. Not because you're generating the wrong leads. Because you're using the wrong tools at the wrong stage. The 5 pillars of a modern lead gen stack we use: 1) Contact data + prospecting intelligence Your foundation. Bad data breaks everything. ZoomInfo: enterprise database + buying signals Cognism: strong EMEA coverage, GDPR-first Apollo: best value for speed + sequencing 2) Inbound capture + conversion Most websites convert 2–4% by default. HubSpot: forms, automation, analytics, CRM Leadfeeder (Dealfront): identifies visiting companies pre-form OptinMonster: exit-intent capture for lift Drift: real-time qualification via chat 3) Sales engagement + automation Where targeting becomes meetings. Instantly / Smartlead: scalable cold email execution Salesloft / Outreach: structured cadences for 10+ rep teams 4) Intent data + ABM This is pipeline acceleration. 6sense: in-market detection + prioritisation Demandbase: ABM orchestration for strategic accounts Bombora: intent infrastructure layer 5) Enrichment + verification The connective tissue that keeps the stack usable. Clay: waterfall enrichment across sources Clearbit: real-time attributes + form shortening Hunter: email finding + verification Selection rules (simple, practical): 1. Early-stage: Apollo or HubSpot. Validate ICP and messaging first. 2. Mid-market: keep CRM, add specialised data + intent. 3. Enterprise: ABM platforms to coordinate buying groups. Before you add another platform, ask: 1. Is this solving a capability gap or masking a strategy problem 2. Will the team actually adopt it 3. Does it integrate cleanly end-to-end The best stack is the one your team uses consistently, with clean data flow from prospecting to closed revenue.

The 2026 B2B GTM Blueprint. With the speed at which people are building with AI, "just hire a bunch of SDRs" is no longer a competitive strategy. The fastest growing tech companies are going multi-channel and building outbound on top of strong inbound foundations. + AI has made it far easier to connect all your GTM channels together. So many companies are still far behind. And that’s where we see a market opportunity. Workflows.io is 20-person GTM engineering org and this is our blueprint for mapping out funnels: 1️⃣ Traffic Generation 2+ channels running in parallel: - Outbound (Email, DMs, Calls, Events) - Content (LinkedIn, X, YouTube, Website) - Ads (LinkedIn, Meta, Google, Reddit) - Partnerships (Directories, Influencers, Integrations, Agency Programs) Goal: Maximize awareness of your ICP. 2️⃣ Lead Capture 5 main ways to turn traffic into captured leads: - Social followers (LinkedIn) - Social signals (Jungler) - Website visitors (Apollo.io) - Form fills (HubSpot) - Gated content (Tally) A common pitfall is putting full focus on form fills, but missing out on the rest. 3️⃣ Lead Nurturing 3 categories: - Digital marketing (newsletter, email flows, retargeting ads, social content) - Website resources (webinars, case studies, product demo, free tools) - Field marketing (gifts, dinner invites, partner events, community events) This is where awareness turns into trust. 4️⃣ Data Routing Every lead/activity gets enriched and synced to CRM automatically. AI handles the data/admin layer, avoiding manual work for the sales team. Tools: Clay, Claude Code, HubSpot, Salesforce 5️⃣ Qualification AI auto-qualifies every lead into: Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3 It’s important to get the scoring system right (e.g. through backtesting). Since it determines resource allocation across the TAM. Tools: Clay, ChatGPT, Claude 6️⃣ Sales-Led Conversion - Tier 1: high-touch manual outreach (Nooks + Apollo.io) - Tier 2: medium touch automated outreach (Instantly.ai + HeyReach) - Tier 3: low touch automated outreach (Instantly.ai) The goal is to match effort to expected return. 7️⃣ Sign-Ups/Closed Won → Retention + Expansion - Product usage (Amplitude + PostHog) - Meeting routing (Chili Piper + Default) - Sales process (Apollo.io + Ergo + Nooks + Qwilr + HubSpot) --- I highly recommend customizing a map like this according to your actual funnel. It will bring clarity to your GTM departments on the full system they're building. Save this for your next GTM planning session.

Most people think AI automation is complex. It's actually just 7 building blocks. I've been using n8n for the past year to automate tasks, and these core nodes handle 95% of what you need. Here's the essential toolkit: 1️⃣ Code Node Run JavaScript or Python for custom logic. Example: Convert JSON data to XML before sending to legacy CRMs. 2️⃣ HTTP Request Connect to any API or web service. Example: Pull lead data from Apify, push qualified leads to Slack. 3️⃣ Edit Fields Clean and standardize your data. Example: Rename "first_name" to "nombre" for international teams. 4️⃣ IF Node Create conditional paths in your workflow. Example: Active leads → sales team, inactive leads → nurture campaign. 5️⃣ Switch Node Handle multiple conditions at once. Example: Route different API responses (200, 404, 500) to appropriate handlers. 6️⃣ Loop Over Items Process lists of data individually. Example: Send personalized emails to 100 prospects without overwhelming your server. 7️⃣ Error Handling (The unsung hero) Not technically a node, but critical for production workflows. Always have a Plan B when APIs fail. Why this matters for lead generation: Last week, I built a workflow that: - Build lead list for my clients - Enriches them with company data - Scores them with AI - Routes to the right sales rep - All in under 2 minutes per lead No complex coding. No expensive consultants. Just these 7 nodes connected properly. Once you understand these basics, you can automate almost any business process. n8n makes it visual. Drag, drop, connect, done. Over to you: Are you heavy n8n user or exploring if it's a right fit for you?

Most AI workflows overpromise & undersell. But one of my favorites has (actually) driven hundreds of thousands in incremental revenue. The CEO of Zapier—who’s the homie—shared it with me, and I’ve been hooked ever since. Think of it as an AI SDR, who qualifies, organizes, and engages sales leads. Here are all of the steps my sales sidekick takes: 1) Extracts the name, email, company, role, and website for any lead that fills out a sales form on our website 2) Researches the lead online to gather the following info: - Company website & recent news - Linkedin profile and background - Company size, industry, and estimated funding/revenue/growth indicators - Specific pain points related to my company’s service 3) Compares lead info against ideal ICP criteria I’ve set: - US-based company - VP-level & up - Revenue: $10m-$500m annually - Company size: >50 employees 4) Scores the lead as “Great Fit,” “Possible Fit,” or “Poor Fit” based on ICP comparison 5) Adds a new record to our CRM with the following details: - Contact details (name, email, company, role) - Research findings (company size, revenue, industry) - ICP fit score - Date submitted 6) Conditional logic based on Lead Fit IF lead is “Great Fit” Draft a personalized email in Gmail incorporating: - Their specific company challenges identified in research - Relevant case studies from similar companies - Clear next steps for a discovery call IF lead is “Possible Fit” Send direct message in Slack to me with: - A summary of lead and research findings - Reasons for uncertainty regarding ICP fit - A recommendation with supporting data - The question: “Should I draft a response email for this lead?” IF response is “yes”: follow great fit action IF response is “no”: no response Update CRM for this lead based on action taken in Step 6. Let me know if you have any questions—and if you take it for a spin—let me know what you think. #ZapierPartner

Everyone talks about finding leads. But no one talks about what happens after that. Leads don’t magically turn into clients. It’s what you do after they show up that matters. Let’s fix that today👇 Here’s a simple tactical plan to manage your leads: 1️⃣ Organize your leads properly. → Track every inquiry (no matter how small). → Use a simple CRM like Notion, Airtable, or Trello. → For advanced users, consider HubSpot or GoHighLevel. → Tag leads by source, interest, and stage of readiness. → Review and update your list weekly without fail. 2️⃣ Nurture and engage intentionally. → Send a warm “thank you for connecting” message. → Share helpful resources before pitching anything. → Comment on their posts and engage on their content. → Add them to your email list with permission. → Follow up at least 3-4x before giving up. 3️⃣ Convert with simple, clear offers. → Don’t overwhelm them with a complicated sales pitch. → Offer a quick clarity call or a helpful audit session. → Share clear outcomes, not just deliverables. → Focus on how you solve their specific pain point. → Make your next step easy and actionable. 4️⃣ Delegate and automate where possible. → Hire a VA to manage lead tracking and follow-ups. → Use tools like Calendly to book calls automatically. → Set up email sequences for nurture and reminders. → Use CRM reminders to follow up on dormant leads. → Free yourself from chasing every detail manually. The coaching business isn’t just about finding leads. It’s about managing, nurturing, and converting them. Do this well — and you’ll never worry about leads again. PS: How are you currently managing your leads?

Most B2B companies are stuck in the 2020 LinkedIn content era. OLD WAY: • Company page announcements • Generic holiday posts • Conference updates • Promotional content NEW WAY: • Founder-led and employee-led content • Workflows, templates, cheat sheets • Building in public updates • Educational content Teams crushing it with exec-led content: - ElevenLabs - Pylon - Gamma - HubSpot - Lovable But content creation is only one component of an organic social GTM strategy. You need systems to capture and convert engagement. At Workflows, we: • Have 90k+ followers combined as a team • Generated 20M+ all-time impressions across all • Booked 500+ meetings through LinkedIn content in 7 months And this is the exact 4-step GTM system we created: 1️⃣ Create Ship content consistently across the team: - TOF (40%): Thought leadership, storytelling, company updates - MOF (50%): Demos, playbooks, problem-solution breakdowns, how-tos - BOF (10%): Case studies, testimonials, product launches - Post +10 times per week from founders and employees accounts - Repurpose winning content across team members 2️⃣ Capture Unowned audience → owned audience you can nurture: - Capture engagers via Trigify.io. - Grab profile viewers via Teamfluence - Post lead magnet to build newsletter via beehiiv - Export connections from LinkedIn - Deanonymize website visitors via RB2B - Allow prospects to book directly via Cal.com, Inc. 3️⃣ Enrich and score Find high-value opportunities: - Route captured leads into Clay - Find emails with Findymail - Lookup contact in CRM (e.g. HubSpot) - Qualify based on company + title in Clay - Enrich phone numbers for Tier 1s with BetterContact 4️⃣ Outbound retargeting Start conversions with best-fit prospects: - Automated email campaigns via Instantly.ai - Automated DM campaigns via HeyReach.io - And cold calling using CRM tasks & Slack notifications TL;DR: LinkedIn content is the best inbound channel for B2B. But it's more than just posting content.

After reviewing countless pipeline generation plans, I’ve developed a framework that helps AEs 2x their pipe gen. Here’s the exact template and process I use: 1. Target Account Selection Enterprise: Focus on 1-2 key accounts Mid-market: Target 3-5 accounts SMB: Include 5-15 accounts 2. Strategic Contact Mapping For each target account, identify 3-15 key prospects based on your market: Above-the-line contacts: Directors, VPs, C-Level executives Below-the-line contacts: Managers and individual contributors Enterprise should focus on more per account, SMB fewer per account. 3. Pain Point Analysis Document specific challenges your target accounts face today. This isn’t about your product features – it’s about their business problems you can solve. 4. Value Hypothesis Development Create a clear statement of how your solution addresses their specific challenges. This becomes your north star for all account engagement. 5. Relevant Success Stories Have customer stories ready that mirror your target account’s industry, size, or challenges. These become your social proof in conversations. 6. Setting Strategic Weekly Goals Here’s where most reps get it wrong: They default to “set a meeting” as their only goal. The best PG plans I see often keep the same account in focus for multiple weeks. Here’s what that progression might look like: Week 1: “Identify current feature management solution through engineering team outreach” Week 2: “Uncover engineering team KPIs through manager-level conversations” Week 3: “Secure director+ meeting leveraging gathered intelligence” You can get a template for this PG plan + an AI Prompt that fills it out in seconds here (no cost): https://lnkd.in/g9sH7Vjq

"We need these reports ASAP". If you've heard this before, you know those reports are only as good as the data they're built on. And in most situations, that data sucks. Your HubSpot instance probably has the following: • Inconsistent lifecycle stages • Unclear deal definitions • Mixed-up customer status • Properties nobody uses • Reports nobody trusts The root cause? Building without blueprints. Before touching HubSpot, we align on four core documents: 1. 𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝗽 Defines exactly how leads move through: • Marketing stages • MQL/SQL criteria • Sales handoffs • Post-sale markers • Revenue taxonomy 2. 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝗽 Maps your unique: • Deal stages • Exit criteria • Required fields • Probability markers • Closed/lost reasons 3. 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘁-𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗽 Standardizes: • Onboarding stages and pipelines • Health scores (via HubSpot) • Expansion signals • Churn indicators 4. 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗗𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆 & 𝗖𝗥𝗠 𝘁𝗮𝘅𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝘆 Aligns teams on: • Property & Field definitions • Required properties • Reporting standards • Naming conventions inside your CRM Then We Build: The 90-Day Implementation – with definitions clear, we implement in phases: 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗲 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗗𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝟭-𝟭𝟱) • Configure lifecycle stages and automation (includes lead object) • Create custom properties (UTMs + hidden fields) • Basic Account/Lead scoring (with new Beta) • Core integrations 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 (𝗗𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝟭𝟱-𝟯𝟬) • Configure deal stages (and the lead object) • Forecasting and goals • Routing and lead assignments (territory) • Individual and team dashboards (v1) 𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 (𝗗𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝟯𝟬-𝟰𝟱) • Set up ticket pipelines. • Build customer health score. • Automation of renewals • Clear definition of upsell/renewal triggers 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 (𝗗𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝟰𝟱-𝟲𝟬) Using Data Dictionary & Taxonomy : • Setup data hygiene dashboards • Deduplication via Koalify • Standardized naming and folder structure • Error reporting and notifications 𝗘𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 (𝗗𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝟲𝟬-𝟵𝟬) Tell the story clearly through: • 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘀: Track time at each stage to find and remove roadblocks, improving the overall customer experience. • 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘀: Identify drop-off points across the journey to refine engagement strategies. • 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘀: Monitor volume at each stage to ensure a steady flow from lead to loyal customer. There is a better way to get where you're going, but it takes the right foundation. #hubspot #crm #data
