The Singapore Computer Society (SCS) is the leading infocomm and digital media society for industry professionals, leaders, students, and tech enthusiasts. Established in 1967, the Society has a thriving membership base of close to 55,000 members today. Through our 16 Chapters and 3 Special Interest Groups, we remain steadfast in our commitment to establish a strong reputation as the voice of Singapore’s infocomm and digital media community. Armed with the mission of leading and driving vibrancy and growth of Singapore’s infocomm and digital media industry, we strive to add value to our members’ professional and personal development goals. From publications to training and development, networking opportunities and more, we support our members by fuelling their ambition to connect, collaborate and be inspired with infocomm innovation and excellence. We seek to raise the bar in the industry through our various certification programmes that enable skills upgrading and career advancement. SCS is also actively engaged in developing future generations of infocomm and digital media talents. Our student members enjoy opportunities to meet, mingle with, and be mentored by leading practitioners for an invaluable head start in their chosen fields.

🔐 AI is evolving fast. So are the risks. At our Digital Assurance Chapter session, Glen Francis explored digital assurance in the age of AI, highlighting why organisations must move beyond traditional Computer Security towards Cognitive Security to safeguard AI reasoning and data integrity, while also unpacking practical frameworks and strategies that enable and strengthen responsible AI. The insights were further enriched through a fireside chat featuring Glen, Deepak Waghmare and moderated by Lee Lee Goh, where practical perspectives and industry considerations brought the discussion to life. A big shoutout to Chee Weng Hey and the Google team for hosting us! The session was followed by the 33rd Digital Assurance Chapter AGM. What separates a well-managed cyber incident from a damaging one? Close to 40 attendees came together to discuss the real-world challenges organisations face in the first critical hours of a cyber incident, covering common pitfalls, escalation decisions, and the complexities of recovery under pressure. SCS is proud to support the upcoming CNA Tech Challenge, with our members serving as judges for a series of thrilling challenges. 36 participants will design, build and operate drones and robots across a demanding series of missions. From precision aerial manoeuvres to ground-based robotics, each challenge tests a wide range of technical abilities under time pressure.
